Tracing Pad is 50gsm — semi-transparent, for tracing and transferring artwork.

Sketch Pad and Econo Sketch Pad are 120gsm — medium cartridge, for sketching and drawing.

Painting Pad is 180gsm — canvas textured, for oils, acrylic and craft paint.

Watercolour Pad is 300gsm — fine quality, for watercolour and ink.

The two sketch pads are the same paper. Both are 120gsm medium cartridge and both acid-free. The difference is sheet count and price — the Sketch Pad holds 36 sheets, the Econo 20.

Card sheets come in white, black and bright assortments. White card has a smooth surface suited to drawing, painting, printing and sketching; the bright range works as a background, for drawing on, or for cutting shapes.

Corrugated card is available bright, neon and metallic — stronger than flat card and used where a construction needs to hold its shape.

Paper sheets come in black, bright assorted and pearl. Bright assorted is 50 sheets to a pack.

Sugar paper is 100% recycled, and Dala rates it for paint, pencils, charcoal and pastels — the widest media compatibility stated on any paper in the range.

Tissue paper is soft, lightweight, highly absorbent and tear resistant.

Crepe paper is used for paper flowers and decorations.

Cellophane for wrapping, memory albums and scrapbooks.

Tear Off Palettes are 40 disposable palette sheets in a pad — nothing to wash at the end of a lesson.

Check sheets per pad, not just price. Dala states the count on every pad: Watercolour 10, Econo Sketch 20, Painting 20, Tracing 25, Sketch 36, Creative Diary 50, Tear Off Palette 40. A pad that looks cheaper may hold half as much.

Every pad is acid-free, as is Sugar Paper. Acid-free paper resists yellowing, which matters for work that gets displayed or kept in a portfolio rather than sent home the same week.

Weight before size for painting. 120gsm cartridge handles drawing and dry media. Wet work wants the 180gsm painting pad or the 300gsm watercolour stock.
